About the position

The Sr Data Architect Analyst (Data Governance Architect) position at Honeywell International, Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is a critical role focused on guiding the implementation and management of data governance practices within the organization. This position is responsible for providing expertise within the Collibra Data Governance platform, ensuring that data assets are effectively utilized and maintained to support organizational objectives. The role involves working closely with both business and IT stakeholders to enable comprehensive end-to-end data governance capabilities and functionalities. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of various data assets, including data policies, data quality rules, critical data elements, reference data, key performance indicators, data models, data entities, and technical metadata. This includes designing and maintaining processes that align with the organization's goals. The role also requires leading the governance capability, which encompasses the design and development of data integration processes, as well as maintaining platform performance and addressing any issues that arise. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Sr Data Architect Analyst will be involved in training and collaborating with stakeholders across the business and IT sectors. This collaborative approach is essential for driving the agenda and organization of the Data Governance Steering Committee, ensuring that data governance practices are continuously reviewed and updated to meet evolving business needs. The position is structured for a 40-hour work week, with the possibility of telecommuting up to two times per week, and may require up to 5% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance within the Collibra DG platform.
  • Assist with the implementation of data assets and metamodels, including their inter-relations.
  • Design and maintain processes to support organizational objectives.
  • Manage data assets such as Data Policy, Data Quality Rules, Critical Data Elements, Reference Data, Key Performance Indicators, Data Models, Data Entities, and Technical Metadata.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to enable end-to-end capabilities and functionalities.
  • Drive the agenda and organization of the Data Governance Steering Committee.
  • Conduct data asset reviews and maintain evergreen data governance practices.
  • Train and collaborate with business/IT stakeholders on data governance practices.
  • Lead the design and development of asset governance capabilities.
  • Oversee data integration design, development, and maintenance.
  • Maintain platform performance and address any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of relevant IT experience.
  • Five (5) years of hands-on experience working with Master Data Programs.
  • Experience with enterprise data governance programs and platforms.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to document requirements and drive organizational objectives.
  • Experience with data asset and workflow configuration and utilization within Collibra Data Governance Center or similar tools.
