About The Position

The Senior DevOps Engineer at Belden will play a crucial role in application architecture, design, and the development of a scalable and secure SaaS framework based on AWS infrastructure. This position involves collaboration with global teams, focusing on optimizing cloud infrastructure, leading DevOps pipeline implementations, and ensuring system performance and security. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; preferably a master's degree.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps with a focus on delivering builds, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud-native SaaS development and virtualization technologies (AWS, ESXi, KVM, HyperV).
• Extensive experience in developing distributed system design.
• Experience with microservice architecture and public cloud.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong knowledge of public cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and on-premises setups.
• Good knowledge of analyzing and troubleshooting backend and frontend applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Experience with IaaC tools (Terraform, CrossPlane).
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and participation in scrum ceremonies.
• Good knowledge of observability tools (Kibana, Elastic stack, Prometheus stack).
• Good knowledge of the Linux operating system.
• Good knowledge of programming languages (Python, Go).
• Effective communication skills (written, spoken, listening, presentation).
• Experience working with global teams.

• Experience with large-scale public cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust DevOps pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security, proactively troubleshooting issues.
• Develop tools to automate production support tasks and SRE monitoring for critical systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for troubleshooting procedures and system configurations.
• Ensure the security of systems and applications, adhering to compliance requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to set up and configure necessary infrastructure services for new feature development.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
