The Senior Director, Customer Innovation & Business Value at Lumen is a pivotal leadership role focused on developing and implementing the operating model strategy that encompasses people, processes, technology, and data to drive business value selling strategies. This position is integral to establishing strategic partnerships and enhancing enterprise opportunities. The individual in this role will operate in both an architect and operator capacity, building the Value practice while executing pre-sales value engagements on strategic deals. The goal is to deliver revenue, insights, and learnings that can be leveraged for repeatability and scalability in the organization. In this role, the Senior Director will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Business Value Strategy and Return on Investment propositions. They will articulate the economic impact of Lumen's digital capabilities, demonstrating how these capabilities deliver value to both users and Lumen's customers. The position requires designing and facilitating participatory workshops, stakeholder interviews, user research, and prototyping exercises to refine value generation. The Senior Director will also engage directly with customers and account teams to prepare and execute value alignment workshops, ensuring that the value proposition is effectively communicated and understood. The role demands collaboration across various business units, including pursuit teams and product management, to define and implement innovative solutions and process improvements. The Senior Director will lead multiple complex engagements, ultimately creating a comprehensive model for engaging customers in a value-based sales approach. They will also be responsible for designing the operating model for the Strategic Sales Value practice, defining the architecture for Value Advisory offerings, and ensuring the necessary tools and processes are in place for tracking success across the Business Value lifecycle. Additionally, the Senior Director will create a vision for qualifying strategic pursuits and develop a framework to drive a large deal pipeline. This role requires a proactive approach, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and maximizing operational efficiency and return on investment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the enterprise sector, leading large virtual teams and managing business relevance and value realization in technology environments.
