About the position

The Senior Director of ESL & Aseptic Sales is responsible for developing and enhancing customer relationships across various channels, focusing on driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. This role involves leading a high-performing sales and marketing team, leveraging a deep understanding of the product portfolio, and executing comprehensive sales strategies to achieve profitable growth and capacity utilization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of product offerings, including production methodologies and technical properties.
  • Lead the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and optimize customer acquisition.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team.
  • Cultivate and maintain partnerships with key clientele to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide insights and leadership into the organization’s strategy and commercial execution.
  • Define, track, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Manage RFPs, contract negotiations, and trade deals in partnership with finance.
  • Synthesize insights into executable customer plans and tactics.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive and manage annual operating plans and forecasts.
  • Report food safety problems and maintain food safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of demonstrated selling and influencing skills in a complex environment.
  • Deep understanding of operational requirements and processes.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts.
  • Proven proficiency in analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 10-15 years of experience in senior sales management roles, preferably in the dairy or food manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in CRM software and/or other sales management tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of Federal Milk Marketing Orders and Milk Pricing.
  • Special language skills when there is a business need.
