About the position

As a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Core Systems, you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, and overseeing the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, or military applications. This role involves developing hardware systems, conducting detailed analysis, and ensuring the successful transition of designs to production.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, test, and oversee the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Develop hardware systems and solutions in a corporate environment.
  • Conduct PWB design and specification, floor planning, test and verification, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and develop electrical systems for military applications, including power and communication systems.
  • Perform system level requirements analysis, sub-system level requirements development, conceptual design, preliminary design, and detailed design through design verification and transition to production.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of circuit modeling, simulation, signal integrity, electrical stress, and worst-case circuit analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 8-10 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree in electrical engineering with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • High level understanding of product development lifecycle and experience in the development of hardware systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Electrical circuit design experience.
  • Circuit modeling and simulation experience.
  • Schematic capture experience.
  • Circuit and sub-system test and troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and simulation tools (e.g., Spice, MATLAB, Python).

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in PCB design, including experience with PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence Orcad, Altium 360).
