About the position

The position is for a Machine Design Engineer within the Shave Care Machine Design Engineering Team at Procter & Gamble's Boston Technical Center. The role focuses on designing and managing the build and installation of equipment for manufacturing products under the Gillette and Venus brands. The engineer will work on new product initiatives, obsolescence programs, and collaborate with a multi-functional team to ensure equipment functionality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the build and installation of manufacturing equipment.
• Develop technical mastery to deliver equipment/machine design for new product initiatives and cost savings.
• Collaborate with a team of 10-12 resources on razor blade assembly and equipment functionality.
• Serve as a technical resource across a portfolio of smaller projects or as a key member of larger multi-functional teams.
• Communicate project timelines, action plans, and updates effectively.

Requirements

• BS and/or MS in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree.
• Relevant equipment design experience.
• Project management experience and ability to lead project teams.
• Strong communication skills for project updates and status reporting.
• High level of personal accountability and ownership for results.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of experience designing equipment in CAD for high-speed and precision equipment.
• Proficiency in 3D solid modeling (NX preferred).
• Familiarity with servo mechatronic systems and designs.
• Understanding of pneumatic systems and design.
• Basic understanding of machine control systems.
