About the position

Avaya is seeking an individual contributor for the Rev Ops team, which is responsible for ASC 606 revenue accounting from an offshore location in Pune. The role involves maintaining high levels of accuracy and timelines while interacting with stakeholders to ensure reports are dependable. The team handles statutory closure of books on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, involving various statutory compliances related to revenue accounting, SOX controls, PWC queries, Fair Value Allocation, and Balance Sheet/GL reconciliations. The position requires good Excel skills and effective communication to drive tasks to closure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ASC 606 revenue accounting
  • Ensure compliance with related SOX controls
  • Automate manual reports
  • Manage the revenue allocation process to determine contract asset and liability positions
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain statutory requirements for ASC 606 revenue accounting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports

Requirements

  • Semi Qualified CA/MCOM (Partial Inter or appearing Finals) or MCOM/MBA
  • 2-4 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Eager to learn and assist team members
  • Strong time management skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in revenue accounting

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
