About the position

The Sr. Instructional Designer / Learning Experience Designer at Visa University will play a crucial role in developing innovative learning solutions that drive business impact and performance. This position involves collaboration with subject matter experts and various teams to create effective learning experiences using modern technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in human-centered design and stakeholder management, contributing to the growth and development of Visa's global learning initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Client Services learning team to align with key priorities and roadmaps.
• Work with SMEs to understand learning needs and build effective learning solutions using adult learning principles and design thinking.
• Design and develop innovative and scalable global learning solutions in various formats using modern learning technologies.
• Lead user acceptance testing, quality control checks, and analyze feedback to implement changes.
• Engage with vendors to manage project deliverables and act as a conduit between SMEs and the vendor.
• Collaborate with project management and delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of learning solutions.
• Share best practices and expertise in learning capabilities with a community of learning experience designers.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring delivery of best-in-class experiences.
• Stay updated on industry developments and identify new learning technologies.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree.
• Ability to conduct a comprehensive training analysis.
• Experience in using human-centered design principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, Agile, Design Thinking).
• Mastery with common authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Rise, Synthesia, Camtasia).
• Demonstrated passion for developing holistic learning experiences with a focus on user experience.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly and tackle unfamiliar tasks.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to consult with stakeholders within Visa University and broader Visa.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree.
• Specific experience designing and developing technical processes and customer-centric skills training for a large global audience.
• Confidence consulting with business stakeholders on performance outcomes.
• Exposure to just-in-time, collaborative, and adaptive learning platforms.
