About the position

The Sr. Instructional Designer will be responsible for conducting in-depth job-task analyses and needs assessments to determine effective training solutions. This role involves developing training program goals and objectives, designing curricula, and creating interactive e-Learning products. The position requires collaboration with subject matter experts and the application of instructional design theories to enhance employee performance through tailored training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts in-depth job-task analysis and/or needs assessment to identify learning objectives and determine training solutions.
  • Consults with team members to develop individual training program goals, overall program objectives, and module objectives.
  • Applies knowledge of instructional design theory to design course content, creating new training programs from scratch with some managerial guidance.
  • Utilizes adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles and course content.
  • Works with e-Learning specialists to develop sophisticated e-Learning programs and applications.
  • Researches, selects, and modifies existing training curriculum and materials to meet learning needs.
  • Reviews program evaluations and feedback to make recommendations for program improvement.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Articulate 360.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of Underwriting.
