About The Position

The Sr. Internal Auditor at Elbit Systems of America plays a crucial role in enhancing the Internal Audit Program by providing independent assurance and advisory services. This position focuses on evaluating and improving risk management, control, and governance processes to help the organization achieve its objectives. The auditor will work closely with various stakeholders to conduct audits, assess internal controls, and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certified Internal Auditor preferred.
• 3-5 years of functional experience using required skill set.
• 5-7 years of related industry experience.
• Ability to apply the IIA International Professional Practices Framework to internal audits.
• Ability to perform quality assessment reviews and recommend improvements for conformance with IIA standards.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and ability to identify and assess risks.
• Ability to analyze business processes and identify root causes of problems.
• Ability to execute independently with minimal direction.
• Strong report writing and oral communication skills suitable for senior management.
• Knowledge of corporate governance, internal controls, and accounting practices.
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley, section 404, and internal control over financial reporting.
• Knowledge of government contracting compliance and related regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of auditing program performance methodologies.
• Experience with data analytics and statistical analysis for audits.
• Ability to use data analytics software or audit software.
• Experience leading audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits and perform risk assessments under the direction of the Head of Internal Audit and Lead Internal Auditor.
• Drive the goals of Elbit America's Internal Audit program to contribute to business growth and improvement.
• Provide subject matter expertise in audit to support organizational leaders in achieving goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with functional and business unit teams to conduct value-added reviews and audits.
• Prepare audit reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Direct external audit resources as needed.
• Ensure adherence to the Code of Ethics established by The Institute of Internal Auditors and Elbit Systems of America Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures for internal audit activities.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and internal audit counterparts.
• Lead additional projects as assigned.
