Sr IT Business Analyst

About the position

Abbott is seeking a Customer Service Sr IT Business Analyst to join our Business Technology Group that combines functional and technical responsibilities. The Sr IT Business Analyst defines, plans & designs customer service application systems requirements for new or modified applications, in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost-effective application solutions. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven Information Technology professional with a proven track record. Strength in aligning IT solutions with business strategies and building strong relationships across various clients and IT groups. They will have experience supporting all aspects of information technology, including strategic planning, stakeholder management, process improvement, application development & solution delivery, and regulated industry implementations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
• Provide system performance optimization, maintenance, and production support.
• Refine conceptual system requirements into a technical design consisting of job flows and program specifications.
• Aid in the systems development process, including planning & monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities within other groups, reviewing deliverables, and communicating to management.
• Understand customers' business objectives and system requirements and work closely with customers to determine their strategic information requirements and measure performance against expectations. Assist in customer resolution.
• Define implementation activities and assign individual responsibilities; assume leadership role for implementation activities; coordinating implementation with other parts of the enterprise and provide routine status of activities to Project Manager or direct supervisor.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• In specialized systems (ie. Salesforce) effectively set options to change the way the program works (configuration responsibilities).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 6 years experience in Business systems analysis
• Strong presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously; workload will be a blend of small, medium, and large implementation projects.
