Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage cloud resources on platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate cloud solutions with CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated testing, deployment, and scaling.
• Partner with risk and security to implement cloud security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Regularly assess and mitigate security risks.
• Monitor cloud environments to ensure performance and availability.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-efficiency and performance.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for cloud-related issues, working to resolve incidents and minimize downtime.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in cloud engineering and DevOps.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on cloud architecture and infrastructure management.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management in the cloud.
• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog and Dynatrace along with cloud specific tooling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks, while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment.
• Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
