About the position

The Senior IT Project Manager will support an enterprise-level Windows Server 2016 upgrade initiative, focusing on relationship management, project planning, resource management, and tactical execution. This role requires collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to meet business objectives while providing professional leadership and mentorship. The position is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Indianapolis, IN, and is open to local candidates or those willing to relocate at their own expense.

Responsibilities

• Support an enterprise-level Windows Server 2016 upgrade initiative.
• Manage relationship management, project planning, resource management, and tactical execution.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Provide professional leadership and mentorship to inspire excellence.
• Review, revise, and implement policies, practices, standards, and tools for IOT project efforts.
• Work directly with senior managers and staff supporting all facets of IOT's service delivery.
• Manage staff and teams as needed.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a strategic planner, program/portfolio manager, or project manager.
• 5 years of experience with technology projects using various development methodologies, including agile and waterfall SDLCs.
• 5 years of extensive experience overseeing multiple projects to successful conclusion.
• 5 years of experience managing projects of relative high complexity and dollar value.
• 5 years of experience developing, monitoring, and maintaining project plans.
• 5 years of ability to establish and manage project budgets with an understanding of financial implications.
• 5 years of experience coordinating and monitoring activities of all stakeholders to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
• Exceptional professional presence and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar professional designation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of exceptional delivery of products and services to a wide range of users, especially in government.
