About the position

The IT Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Support Specialist at Innova Solutions is responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure during the mergers and acquisitions of engineering and design firms. This role involves direct user support, data migrations, and the configuration and installation of new IT equipment, ensuring a smooth transition to the enterprise's IT standards. The position requires travel for cutover moves and remodels, with a focus on effective communication and technical support throughout the acquisition process.

Responsibilities

• Identify and understand the IT topology of the acquisition, including new and old physical servers, networks, and other IT equipment.
• Ensure legacy data, email, and systems are migrated to the enterprise standard IT infrastructure.
• Assist users during the transition phase both in person and virtually.
• Assess and document the use of legacy IT infrastructure and plan for data migration to modern solutions in Microsoft Azure.
• Perform data and email migration tasks using third-party tools.
• Configure and install new IT infrastructure equipment onsite, ensuring consistency with IT standards.
• Maintain IT server rooms by organizing cables and monitoring equipment.
• Develop a decommission plan for legacy IT equipment.
• Handle office consolidations, moves, and remodels as needed.
• Field incoming help requests from end users via Teams, telephone, and work orders.
• Act as a team lead for junior support staff and provide advanced technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years' experience with IT infrastructure cutovers or buildouts.
• Client-facing IT field support experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across a wide range of IT infrastructure.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
