At T-Mobile, our employees are our most important asset. The Senior Manager Asset Protection (SMAP) provides strategic leadership to Field AP Managers, supporting efforts across all retail channels. This role not only embraces a digital-first mindset, it delivers ideas, tools, and resources that leverage AI-driven tools and innovative strategies to enhance safety, reduce shrink, improve investigations, and training. The SMAP collaborates cross-functionally including retail, legal, fraud, CEC, Engineering, and business continuity—to transform the business versus simply running the business. A culture of forward-thinking and continuous improvement is key to protecting assets in today’s dynamic environment. This leader will primarily focus on delivering the playbook of the future versus running the traditional playbook of the past. Must be skilled in translating business needs into functional tech requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities and the delivery of field AP services throughout the assigned transformation areas (retail, CEC, engineering assets, digital)
  • Inspire performance excellence on the part of all staff members.
  • Develop and assist with asset protection transformation education and awareness training for T-Mobile employees and AP team.
  • Develop and execute strategies and policies in conjunction with the Director of AP, to ensure AP programs are progressive and aligned with the company direction.
  • Drive process compliance with all corporate program standards and achieve maximum results.
  • Responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 plus years Retail Multi-Unit asset protection/Retail Multi-Unit asset protection experience. (Required)
  • 4-7 years Management experience or additional relevant experience. (Required)
  • 1-3 years Proven ability to leverage AI and digital technologies to enhance asset protection practices with a focus on innovation, automation and data driven decision making.(Required)
  • 1-3 years Proven ability to map, assess, and re-engineer workflows. (Required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong understanding of exception-based reporting systems and digital tool rollouts (Preferred)
