Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose and correct operational problems related to the equipment in the process of manufacturing and plant building areas.
  • Validate project to improve efficiency of the production machine.
  • Work within a cross functional team on the creation or modification of process flow within the Manufacturing Department.
  • Create and modify Manufacturing Work Instructions and related documents.
  • Develop Field Service procedures and manuals.
  • Create, release and train personnel on new procedures, instructions, fixtures, tooling and systems.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing difficulties including Non-Conformance Material evaluations and dispositions.
  • Evaluate and approve component or assembly substitutions.
  • Develop deviations and rework instructions.
  • Resolve CAPA’s and conduct Investigation and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Implement Corrective Action and Preventative Action Measures of Effectiveness.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering.
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Display a solid technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures (e.g. CAD and its application).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understand and articulate how own role ties within function or discipline.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Demonstration application of engineering principles on individual/small projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer experience with TQM methods (e.g. 'six sigma') or LEAN manufacturing environment.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification helpful.
