About the position
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, will lead the mechanical discipline team through various projects from concept to construction completion. This role involves designing sustainable mechanical systems for buildings across multiple sectors, including Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, and Hospitality. The successful candidate will ensure the quality of engineering designs, manage client communications, and oversee project teams while participating in budgeting and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical discipline team through projects from early concept to construction completion.
- Design and plan sustainable mechanical systems for buildings and facilities.
- Act as Engineer of Record and ensure overall quality of engineering design.
- Communicate technical information with clients on MEP topics.
- Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management for assigned projects.
- Mentor and provide guidance to younger staff members.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
- Current PE license is required.
- Proficiency in HVAC design and building mechanical codes and standards.
- Experience using software such as REVIT, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, IES, and MS Office.
