About the position

The Sr. Military Analyst position at People, Technology and Processes LLC is a critical role that involves providing senior-level analytical support to Concept Development and Prototype Experimentation for the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCBL). This position is based at Ft. Leavenworth, KS, and requires a Secret clearance. The analyst will be responsible for interfacing with and briefing government personnel, both military and civilian, across various ranks, ensuring that communication is clear and effective. The role demands a high level of expertise in military operations, particularly at the division level or higher, and requires the ability to develop, implement, and oversee processes that meet the government’s contractually defined objectives while maintaining high-quality standards in products and services. In addition to analytical support, the Sr. Military Analyst will perform various administrative functions, including reviewing and writing reports, updating project plans, approving expenditures, and making decisions regarding department-related purchases. The analyst will also coordinate and attend cross-functional meetings related to projects, report on status, develop project-related documentation, and implement lessons learned from previous projects. Participation in project performance review meetings is also expected, along with the responsibility for developing and accessing documentation in the form of reports, proposals, white papers, and briefings. This position may also involve other duties as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Senior Military Analyst support to Concept Development and Prototype Experimentation for MCBL.
  • Interface with and brief Government personnel (Military and Civilian) of all ranks.
  • Develop, implement, oversee, and improve processes and procedures to meet Government's contractually defined objectives.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, updating project plans, and approving expenditures.
  • Coordinate and/or attend cross-functional meetings related to projects.
  • Report status, develop project-related documentation, and implement lessons learned.
  • Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions as required.
  • Develop and access documentation in the form of reports, proposals, white papers, and briefings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • Graduate of a military service school equivalent to the Army Command and General Staff College (Military Education Level-4).
  • 15 or more years' military experience with field-grade level knowledge of Army, Joint, and coalition operations at the division or higher echelon.
  • Service at echelons above brigade is required, along with knowledge of Army/Joint Capability Development.
  • Demonstrated planning experience for complex activities equivalent to an annual experimentation program or experiment series.
  • Knowledge of Army and Joint Doctrine and understanding of conducting and analyzing research and collecting data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, familiar with the Army Writing Style.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining timelines and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to meet all requirements to be issued a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • United States Citizenship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Army War College or National Defense University Graduate.
  • Previous service within Joint and/or Combined organizations.
  • Experience as a Division/Corps/Theater army/Joint headquarters planner, strategist, or member of a Commanders Initiative Group (CIG).
  • Demonstrated experience covering the full scope of work: studies, experimentation, and prototyping.
  • Demonstrated experience as a task leader or program manager of teams of contractors in support of Army or Joint requirements.
  • Previous Battle Lab Experience.
