About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager for Events at AWS WWPS EDU/SLG Field Marketing is responsible for executing demand generation events hosted by AWS and third-party organizations. This role involves strategizing and managing large-scale in-person events, such as re:Invent and AWS Summit, specifically targeting education, state and local government, and technology sectors. The successful candidate will oversee event strategy, execution, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance customer experience and elevate the AWS brand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage end-to-end plans for in-person events hosted by AWS and third parties.
• Define goals for each program, manage budgets and timelines, and develop demand generation strategies.
• Oversee vendor and venue partnerships to ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Provide detailed ROI reports on events and activities associated with executed programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on event briefs, plans, and post-event debriefs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
• 7+ years of experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Proficiency in Excel or Tableau for data manipulation, including macros, charts, and pivot tables.
• Experience in building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
• Experience in developing and executing campaigns across multiple time zones and languages.
