Sr MTS, Solutions Engineer

About the position

This is a technical presales role with our Enterprise Merchant Services team, operating in the Global Sales organization. You will provide technical discovery, product demos, solution design, and integration support for large enterprise merchants located in the United States and Canada. This is a hybrid role, with three days per week in a local office expected.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical solution and project design phase of sales engagements.
• Partner closely with assigned Account Executives to engage with new and existing merchant clients.
• Provide technical analysis, technical solution design, software engineering support, and product expertise.
• Lead technical discovery conversations and conduct detailed business process analysis.
• Create technical solution design documents for implementation guidance.
• Build proof of concept demos, perform troubleshooting, and identify technical issues.
• Ensure project success by partnering with stakeholders during transition from design to implementation.
• Provide feedback to internal groups on implementation challenges and feature requests.
• Occasionally travel for on-site customer visits (approximately 10% may be expected).

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a presales consultant, solutions engineer, technical account manager, systems architect, or similar position.
• At least 3 years of experience working directly with large enterprise clients is preferred.
• Industry experience with payments, merchant services, e-commerce, and/or retail.
• Working knowledge of API and web technologies (REST, GraphQL, JavaScript).
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external partners.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• BS/BA or foreign equivalent in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar is preferred.
