About the position
The Sr New Hire Trainer at Perdue Farms is responsible for facilitating the transition of new associates into the production environment during their initial training period. This role focuses on personal coaching, remedial training, and ensuring that training steps are fully implemented and progress is communicated effectively. The trainer will assist associates in learning plant procedures, safe work habits, and food safety measures, while also developing or modifying training materials as needed.
Responsibilities
- Translate documents and evaluations between Spanish and English.
- Conduct plant tours and basic departmental training for new associates.
- Explain production line procedures and safe work practices.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to associates during their training period.
- Evaluate associates' adherence to proper procedures and provide continuous feedback.
- Review associate job performance weekly with the department supervisor.
- Facilitate the transition of associates into departmental work teams.
- Maintain a skill level at or above the required certification level for all positions in the department.
Requirements
- High School diploma required; Associates Applied Sciences Degree preferred.
- Strong speaking, reading, writing, analytical, and math skills required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment preferred.
