KLA is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) as a research scientist or engineer focused on the design and development of next-generation broad band plasma (BBP) wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies. This role involves a collaborative effort with system, optical, electrical, and software engineers to derive subsystem requirements and conduct design reviews. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, build, and prototype testing of these assemblies, ensuring they meet the high standards required for advanced integrated circuit manufacturing. The position requires expertise in CAD modeling, with a preference for experience in Cero, as well as precision mechanism development, which includes actuator selection, tolerance analysis, lifetime evaluation, and optics mounting and alignment. Candidates should also be proficient in CAE, particularly thermal and structural simulation, with ANSYS experience being highly desirable. Once the mechanism design is qualified and released, the engineer will provide support for onsite manufacturing and collaborate with the manufacturing team during product ramp-up to troubleshoot any product issues that may arise.
