About the position
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are currently seeking a Sr. Admissions Representative. The Sr Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for facilitating an efficient, professional, and effective registration process through the attainment of demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration that is pertinent to appropriate reimbursement and statistical analysis. The individual will maintain complete and accurate accounts to ensure database integrity and timely claims processing, while providing support to an organizational culture that emphasizes service excellence standards to all customer groups.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate an efficient and professional registration process.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- 2-5 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance) or a Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Computer/keyboard skills required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
