About the position

As a Senior Plumbing Design Engineer at BW Design Group, you will join a committed team of over 1500 professionals across 45 offices in the US. This role involves working closely with clients to design full plumbing systems for large, complex manufacturing facilities in various sectors including food, beverage, life sciences, and advanced technology. Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering projects with a focus on plumbing design.
  • Leverage experience with US model plumbing codes to create safe and high-quality designs.
  • Expertly design and implement plumbing systems for various industrial sectors.
  • Oversee the construction and installation of industrial plumbing systems.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Revit and AutoCAD for design and project management.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

  • ASPE Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) active certification required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with specialization in plumbing design.
  • Deep understanding of Uniform and International Plumbing Codes.
  • Extensive field experience in the construction and installation of industrial plumbing systems.
  • Proficiency in designing complex systems and solving engineering problems.
  • Experience in food, beverage, consumer packaged goods, and life science sectors.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% for project needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in semiconductor, data center, cleanrooms, or other high-tech industrial facilities.
  • Design and construction experience in GMP and cGMP facilities.
