As the sole designer for your team, you will lead the entire design process for multiple concurrent projects, from inception to launch, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards. Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with the AI product team head to craft an engaging product vision for the business unit and establish effective design principles. Additionally, you will engage with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to gain insights into both business and user requirements, transforming them into impactful product designs. Your strong visual point of view and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will be essential as you generate a wide range of innovative ideas that align with Vimeo's goals.

Responsibilities

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
• Employ visual systems to ensure that designs are in harmony with the broader product ecosystem.
• Lead the entire design process for multiple concurrent projects, from inception to launch, as the sole designer for the team.
• Work with the AI product team head to craft an engaging product vision for the business unit and establish effective design principles.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, to gain insights into business and user requirements and transform them into product designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in product design.
• Outstanding abilities in interaction design, conversational design, visual design, and product thinking, supported by a robust portfolio featuring web and mobile designs.
• Demonstrated expertise in Figma and robust prototyping abilities.
• Track record of conducting user research and usability testing to collect feedback and insights that guide design choices.
• Capable of making thoughtful trade-offs and swiftly implementing designs without sacrificing quality.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design decisions effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic understanding of machine learning, AI, and language models.
• Experience working with remote or distributed product teams.
• UX and site experience across mobile and desktop.
• Knowledge and experience with motion design and animation.
