About the position

As a Senior Product Designer at Moloco, you will play a pivotal role in making mobile ad-tech more accessible to advertisers and publishers by designing innovative user experiences. This position requires you to take ownership of significant areas of our core product, overseeing the design process from concept through to stakeholder alignment, launch, and beyond. Being one of the early members of the design team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the culture and practices of the design team, ensuring that design is recognized as a key strategic partner in the product development process. Your work will be based out of our Redwood City headquarters, where you will contribute to a product that has already gained significant traction due to its robust performance and technology. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define and design the product experiences for Moloco Ads, which is our core product and the largest revenue driver. You will adopt a customer-centric design approach, utilizing insights from generative and evaluative user research and testing to inform your design choices. Building deep customer empathy will be essential, as you will inspire cross-functional teams to enhance their understanding of our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate with both design and engineering teams to define, craft, and evolve our design system, creating a unified experience across platforms and customer touchpoints. Your influence on the product vision and customer interaction will be profound, as you help companies leverage machine learning for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative user experiences for mobile ad-tech products.
  • Take ownership of large areas of the core product throughout the design process.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional teams to define product experiences.
  • Utilize insights from user research and testing to inform design choices.
  • Build deep customer empathy and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Define, craft, and evolve the design system for a unified experience.
  • Mentor other designers and elevate the design practice.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing software products that customers love.
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing successful product designs and proficiency in user-centered design methods.
  • Strong collaborative skills to engage effectively with designers, engineers, and leaders.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems into elegant solutions.
  • Experience in designing for the long term while iterating quickly.
  • Strong advocate for evidence-based design with experience in generative and evaluative research methods.
  • Experience developing design systems and visual frameworks that meet modern usability standards.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, largely autonomous environment.
  • Experience mentoring designers and enhancing design craft and quality.
