About the position

As a member of the T1D Exchange Quality Improvement and Population Health Team, you will join an innovative team of experts using big data and quality improvement methodology to advance diabetes care. This role is pivotal in impacting the lives of people living with diabetes, and you will benefit from the national impact of your work, mentorship opportunities, and numerous publication opportunities. The position offers flexibility, allowing for 100% remote work within the United States or a hybrid model for those located in the Boston, MA area. In this role, you will support clinical quality improvement projects and initiatives, collaborating with providers and other care team members to enhance workflows that directly impact quality performance. You will utilize quality improvement (QI) tools and methodologies to predict and identify barriers to project implementation, develop strategies to address these barriers, and support the completion of projects. Establishing strong working relationships with clinical teams will be essential to improve performance, and you will facilitate QI meetings and committee meetings to drive these initiatives forward. Your responsibilities will also include creating and updating QI performance dashboards, analyzing data, and developing run/control charts to demonstrate improvement. You will collaborate with clinical teams to drive health equity initiatives and assist in the preparation of manuscripts and abstracts for presentation at scientific conferences. Additionally, you will serve as a coordinator for special projects and industry-funded initiatives, providing staff support for meetings, committees, and conferences, managing the execution of assigned projects, and developing project reports. Your ability to write concise, informative reports and QI change packages will be crucial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical quality improvement projects and initiatives by collaborating with providers and care team members to improve workflows that impact quality performance.
  • Utilize quality improvement (QI) tools and methodology to predict and identify barriers to project implementation and develop strategies to address them.
  • Establish strong working relationships with clinical teams to improve performance.

  • Manage execution of assigned projects, including project reports, timelines, agenda development, minutes, documents, slide decks, and preparation of reports on project status and activities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree with three years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
  • IHI Certificate in Quality, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, or CPHQ certification will be an advantage.
  • Must be highly motivated and mission-driven, with a strong commitment to advancing health equity.
  • Proficient in the use of appropriate data analytic techniques to analyze and display quality improvement data.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrate excellent judgment in problem-solving when developing daily work priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment in a multi-dimensional setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools/software.
