About the position

The Sr. Sales Operations Manager will lead the newly created ad sales strategy and planning function at Amazon, focusing on developing and executing growth strategies to enhance advertiser engagement. This role requires analytical thinking and the ability to define ambitious goals for the sales team, ensuring alignment across various internal teams and removing blockers to achieve these goals. The candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, articulating complex concepts to diverse audiences and leveraging data-driven insights to support recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with product, marketing, finance, and HR leadership to define multi-year operating plans for the global division of ad sales, including revenue, product adoption, and headcount targets
  • Own quarterly business reviews, leading finance, sales, and strategy leads in compiling a document for ad sales VPs, guiding deep dives as needed
  • Define metrics, tools, and processes needed to set and achieve product adoption, revenue, and sales productivity goals
  • Identify gaps to goals, build mechanisms to close, implement change with peers in leadership, monitor impact, and enable ad sales to deliver on ambitious targets
  • Develop best practices for improving sales productivity and cascade across teams in 15 countries

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
