About the position

The Sr Software Development Engineer for Amazon Connect will play a crucial role in developing innovative cloud-based contact center solutions that enhance customer service experiences. This position involves end-to-end ownership of code, from design to development, and requires collaboration with senior technical leaders. The role is part of a rapidly growing team focused on solving complex engineering challenges and delivering scalable, resilient systems that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Own code end-to-end from design to development.
• Work closely with senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS.
• Develop scalable and resilient systems for Amazon Connect.
• Solve complex engineering and algorithmic problems.
• Ensure a constant customer focus in all developments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
