About The Position

The Sr. Software Engineer at Visa Technology & Operations LLC is responsible for enhancing and maintaining automation test tools using Java, C#, and Python. This role involves investigating bugs, supporting production deployments, collaborating with cybersecurity to address vulnerabilities, and implementing standard processes for large-scale projects. The engineer will also design and develop software applications, conduct technical analysis, and ensure the delivery of projects that meet business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of experience in software engineering or related occupation.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and C#.
• Experience with REST API and SQL.
• Knowledge of test planning, design, and execution.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools, such as JIRA.
• Understanding of cloud computing and Docker.
• Experience in test automation and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain existing automation test tools based on Java, C#, and Python.
• Investigate bugs using tools such as JIRA.
• Support production deployment activities and global business enhancement releases.
• Work with cybersecurity to remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Respond to user inquiries regarding software functions and operations.
• Identify process improvements and make recommendations to management.
• Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts.
• Conduct emergency test activities for code patches addressing production issues.
• Implement standard processes, tools, and metrics for large-scale projects.
• Conduct business and technical analysis, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Produce technical documentation for new development and system enhancements.
• Design, build, develop, test, and implement software applications.
• Modify existing software and develop debugging routines.
• Perform regular check-ins for continuous integration of systems.
• Collaborate with systems analysts, project managers, QA, and other developers to implement business requirements.
• Ensure on-time delivery of projects and production support plans.
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for VIP applications.
• Establish structured testing methodology, especially around automation.
• Collaborate with Product & System Architecture teams to resolve design and code issues.
• Develop automation frameworks to automate test processes.
• Trace through Visa-net Integrated Payments application's code to identify root causes of issues.
