Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, Database, Database Specialist

About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the pioneer and recognized leader in Cloud Computing. Our web services provide a platform for IT infrastructure in-the-cloud that is used by hundreds of thousands of developers and businesses around the world. As a Database Solutions Architect you will design complete solution architectures based on AWS database services. The specialist will collaborate with our customers and partners on key engagements. You will develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects in order to develop or migrate Applications from on-premise databases like Oracle/SQL*Server to AWS eg. AWS RDS, Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL or other Open Source platforms. You will focus on customer solutions such as high volume OLTP/OLAP environments, designing and deploying future state petabyte-scale data services and building and/or designing reference configurations to enable our customers and influence AWS RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB and other NoSQL databases adoption.

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive and manufacturing customers with deep technical expertise to advance AWS adoption across their operations, from factory floor to enterprise systems
• Partner with OEMs, suppliers, and manufacturing leaders to solve complex challenges in areas such as connected vehicles, smart manufacturing initiatives
• Collaborate with AWS specialist, sales, marketing, and product teams to develop innovative solutions for automotive and manufacturing customers' most challenging business problems
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to automotive and manufacturing executives, helping them navigate cloud transformation and digital innovation
• Lead architectural reviews and workshops focused on manufacturing-specific use cases, including predictive maintenance, quality control systems, and supply chain optimization
• Champion industry best practices through AWS blogs, whitepapers, and reference architectures specific to automotive and manufacturing solutions
• Educate customers on AWS's value proposition for manufacturing workloads, ensuring solutions are optimized for production environments
• Provide feedback to AWS product teams on industry-specific requirements and act as primary point of contact for urgent customer issues in your technical specialty
• Stay current with emerging trends in automotive technology and smart manufacturing to help customers innovate and maintain competitive advantage

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• 3+ Years Experience with AIML technologies

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
