About the position

The Senior System Administrator at Permian Resources will be responsible for providing comprehensive system administration support across all company offices and data centers. This role requires collaboration with both the infrastructure and applications teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, delivering results while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of server infrastructure
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of system architecture and interdependencies
• Supports Microsoft products - m365, Azure, Windows environment
• Uses and maintains OS and application deployment services with SCCM, Intune
• Drives to complete work efforts in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Maintains a positive attitude toward customer issues
• Identifies, suggests, plans, implements, and documents potential procedural improvements
• Collaborates with other IT team members to deliver best possible solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related discipline
• Experience with security audits and managing security solutions
• Experience with PKI, Certificate Authority, public DNS record deployment and management
• Networking, TCP/IP stack knowledge and proven methodology for troubleshooting issues
• Ability to work independently or as a team to approach problems creatively and resolve them in a timely manner
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel including executive leadership, senior management, users, vendors, and subcontractors

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a publicly held company with SOX requirements
• 10 years of Windows administration and deployment in an enterprise environment (server administration, GPO, AD, SCCM, Intune)
• Five years of experience with virtualization environments - VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V
• Five years of experience with cloud deployments - Azure, AWS
• Five years of experience in data protection (back up, restore, replication, DR - disaster recovery)
• Five years of experience using Powershell for administration automation
• Five years of experience with Microsoft 365 environments - MS Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint
• Some Linux administration experience preferred, not required
