About The Position

The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead complex programs focused on big data engineering and business intelligence applications within AWS. This role requires deep expertise in technology and business domains, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities while driving value for the business. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to define project scope, manage execution, and mentor team members, all while utilizing AWS's extensive suite of services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the end-to-end project management functions of large programs including planning, risk and issue management, trade-offs and execution.
  • Defining project scope, prioritization, managing sprints planning from project initiation till final launches and status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Effectively cooperate with customers, technical staff and leaders, business leaders and executives to define and deliver complex features.
  • Leading requirement gathering, design/technology selection initiatives, design reviews.
  • Empower technical and non-technical, internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting (self-serve reporting).
  • Develop deep understanding of vast data sources and know exactly how, when, and which data to use to solve particular business problems.
  • Work with Product Managers, Finance, Service Engineering Teams and Sales Teams on day-to-day basis to support their new analytics requirements.
  • Manage numerous requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing when necessary.
  • Partner/collaborate across teams/roles to deliver results.
  • Mentor other engineers, influence positively team culture, and help grow team.
