About the position

The Senior Technical Program Manager for Prime Video Sports will lead the development of innovative solutions to enhance customer engagement with live sports content. This role involves end-to-end ownership of product features, collaboration with various teams, and driving complex programs to improve the live streaming experience for sports fans. The position is pivotal in transforming how customers discover and enjoy live sports on Prime Video, working with cutting-edge technologies and a talented team.

Responsibilities

• Be a guardian of world-class customer experience for your deliverables, continually raising the bar on functionality, flow, consistency, usability, and simplicity.
• Act as the interface between product owners and the development team, thoroughly understanding the product, defining user stories, and evaluating technical solutions to meet business requirements.
• Own engagement and build mechanisms to collaborate effectively with partners across Prime Video, Amazon.com, and other critical external partners.
• Decompose requirements into technical execution plans with multiple development teams, track progress towards goals, and report status to product, business development, and technical leadership.
• Make the right feature trade-offs to ship software without compromising customer experience and business relevance.
• Engage with other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and project, building relationships, and identifying existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on goals.
• Represent the technical team to senior leadership across the company.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
