About The Position

The Sr. Technology Licensing Specialist at the University of Rochester is responsible for administering and promoting the University's intellectual property programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, managing technology disclosures, negotiating license agreements, and supporting technology transfer activities. The specialist will work closely with university personnel and external partners to facilitate the commercialization of university technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in the sciences.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and promote the University's intellectual property programs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to technology disclosures.
• Research and make recommendations regarding the disposition of disclosed technologies.
• Assist in the authorization of patent filings and manage patent application processes.
• Draft, negotiate, and maintain license agreements.
• Market University technologies and support technology commercialization efforts.
• Serve as a resource for faculty on intellectual property matters.
• Assist with Research Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Confidentiality Agreements.
