SRE Consultant

About the position

Infosys is seeking a SRE Consultant. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Create high level design artifacts.
• Deliver high quality code deliverables for a module.
• Lead validation for all types of testing.
• Support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.

Requirements

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or Tempe, AZ or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of overall IT experience.
• Hands-on experience in observability, implementing end-to-end monitoring solutions, SLOs and SLIs using tools like Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics.
• Experience in DevSecOps, setting up CD pipelines using tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.

Nice-to-haves

• Develop observability solution implementations - monitoring, anomaly detection, alerting, and self-healing using industry tools.
• Support critical incident resolution in a complex environment.
• Set up SLOs and SLIs using industry-leading tools.
• Play the role of an individual contributor and lead a small team in a global delivery model.
• Develop Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and perform hands-on technical tasks based on client needs.
• Support responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from clients.
• Analyze and identify improvement opportunities for automation and automate them.
• Experience in Implementing AI/ML-based monitoring and self-healing solutions.
• Experience in Implementing Chaos Engineering/testing.
