Provide extensive legal research, analysis and recommendations on legal and environmental issues surrounding Rainbow Energy Center and its affiliates.
Responsibilities
Advises the executive leadership team on the potential legal ramifications of proposed organizational policies and procedures.
Drafts and reviews contracts and a wide variety of legal correspondences.
Strategizes with executive leadership team on tax, legislative, regulatory and compliance matters.
Provides supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist Rainbow Energy Center with their specialized legal services.
Negotiates all legal matters on behalf of Rainbow Energy Center and its affiliates.
Protects the organization’s rights in its interactions with external parties.
Performs factual and legal research and analysis.
Stays up to date with relevant environmental regulations and standards to ensure Rainbow Energy Center’s initiatives adhere to legal requirements and permits.
Requirements
Knowledge typically acquired through a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
Exceptional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Familiar with key legal issues surrounding Rainbow Energy Center.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability and responsibility to work safely alone and within a team while following REC safety rules, certifications and procedures.
Ability and responsibility to ensure security procedures are followed including immediate notification of potential incidents.
