About the position

At Databricks Information Technology, we are a product led organization transforming the way data is sourced, designed and used to help us scale seamlessly in face of incredible growth. We are looking for an experienced Data and Analytics Product Manager who will drive our enterprise data and AI strategy using Databricks own product set for all internal use-cases. As the Data and Analytics Product Manager, you will work closely with leaders and partners across the company to form and deliver the roadmap of data and AI products aligned with our best practices and to meet our long-term goals. You will own the business outcomes of the data, analytics and AI projects by working closely with the engineering and analytics teams. You will join a growing Data Analytics, Engineering & Integration team and will report to the Sr Director of Data Engineering, Analytics and Integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision and strategy for end-to-end data, analytics and AI products.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and define product requirements.
  • Get hands-on with the product to build product sense on features and gaps.
  • Build prototypes for end users to help them understand the value of the product.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely launch of high-quality data products.
  • Work with business teams to drive adoption of data products.
  • Analyze opportunities of data products and build measurement frameworks.
  • Quantify the business impact of data products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant product management experience; 6 years with relevant master’s degree.
  • Strong understanding of big data technologies such as Apache Spark™ and related data products.
  • Experience in launching analytics products for internal and external customers.
  • Strong expertise in developing technical roadmaps and prototypes.
  • Strong data and metrics skills to back up assumptions and drive actions.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and ability to operate as a scrum master.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels and personas within the company.
