About the position

The Staff IT Product Manager at Databricks will focus on the Commercialization/CPQ team, specifically enhancing the Quote to Revenue processes. This role involves driving the analysis, design, and implementation of go-to-market solutions for new product launches while improving operational efficiency across the organization. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and business partners to develop a strong understanding of the Quote to Cash platform and will be responsible for managing the product roadmap and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the analysis, design, and implementation of go-to-market solutions for new product launches.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and productivity across the organization.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Quote to Cash platform.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and business partners.
  • Define and improve project scope and success criteria with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Own the Product Roadmap for IT products in the Quote to Cash space.
  • Work with business and product owners to develop requirements and user stories from product roadmaps.
  • Create clarity around business objectives through the development and refinement of user stories.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant product management experience with a proven track record engaging with stakeholders at all levels and a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Product configurations, Pricing, Quoting, and Contract management.
  • Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements for the Quote-to-Cash platform, preferably Salesforce CPQ.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize requirements into product releases that drive business value.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to identify clear business KPIs and partner with GTM and Financial Planning teams.

  • Knowledge of consumption-based business models.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum teams as a Product Owner.
  • Strong data analysis skills and metrics skills to support recommendations.
