About the position

The Staff Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiological procedures. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort, as well as participating in the planning and implementation of patient care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab.
• Assist in electrophysiological procedures and monitor patients during and after procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-procedure care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Requirements

• Current Ohio RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in electrophysiology or cardiology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry.
• Knowledge of electrophysiology procedures and equipment.
