About the position

The Staff Operational Compliance Analyst at Portland General Electric (PGE) is a limited duration role focused on supporting the implementation of the Extended Day Ahead Market (EDAM). This position is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining accurate project documentation. The analyst will analyze regulations, develop operational procedures, and provide training to ensure adherence to compliance requirements. This role is essential for mitigating risks and enhancing the efficiency of the EDAM initiative, contributing to PGE's mission of advancing clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze new or revised regulations and translate them into actionable procedures for compliance.
  • Write and revise operational procedures and standards, providing guidance for implementation.
  • Track and document compliance controls, identifying gaps and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on standards and regulations, providing information and training.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and analyze their implications on operational procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to federal regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, technical field, or related area, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in compliance, with at least two years in FERC/NERC regulations.
  • Experience in utility operations, cybersecurity, or auditing is preferred.
  • NERC certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
