About the position

We are currently seeking a Staff or Senior Staff Product Designer to help strengthen and grow our team. RentSpree is the leading provider of rental software in the U.S. that helps connect renters, real estate agents, and landlords to simplify the entire rental process, from listing to lease. RentSpree is at the forefront of the rental wave and we need your help to build something great. As Staff/Senior Staff Product Designer, you will contribute to our product design standards with the rest of the design team, influencing other product team partners, elevating the quality, and using data to inform the direction. Your efforts will ensure our product is seen as a market leader, providing outstanding customer experiences and driving business results. You will be hands-on in leading design initiatives that drive product adoption, and collaborate across teams to achieve business growth. We need someone with strong design skills, deep product insights, and robust data-driven decision making abilities. Your design and customer thinking and ability to positively influence teams will be crucial in elevating our product design initiatives. If you have a track record of designing and launching scalable, accessible, complex solutions in an agile environment, we want to talk to you. You will report directly to the Chief Experience Officer. This role is based in Seattle (hybrid, 2x/week in-office). US remote can be considered depending upon experience. Relocation is available.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering teams from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines, influencing a team creating assets, and ensure highest quality all the way to market
  • Create the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the user experience and associated UI framework, patterns, and assets on a range of products; follow through with the processes and tactics to fulfill the vision
  • Use various inputs to identify and define exciting new concepts, opportunities, and customer problems
  • Work strategically with other executives and team members across the organization

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a product designer / user experience designer; experience in human computer interaction
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables
  • Bachelor's Degree in digital design, graphic design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently in Figma

  • Experience shipping large-scale products
  • Experience working across teams to synthesize feedback and input from product management, engineering, and marketing
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Experience with working in a fast-paced software development environment
  • Desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations
  • Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge
