The Google Cloud CISO organization is the integrated risk, security, compliance and privacy team for Google Cloud, focused on making us the Most Trusted Cloud. The Product Security Engineering (PSE) Team is responsible for ensuring that every Google Cloud product ships as secure as it can be, by increasing the assurance levels of security in the infrastructure underlying all our products, increasing the capabilities of each product team to develop more secure products by design and by default, from patterns, tools and frameworks to increasing the skill level of embedded security leads. PSE owns and drives the product security strategy for Google Cloud. The team works with almost every aspect of Google's infrastructure and on solving truly planet scale infrastructure security problems that have societal level impacts. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance large-scale security solutions for Google Cloud.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Review designs and drive towards defense in depth and security by default, both with long-term engagements and development of scalable controls and systems.
• Review and develop secure operational practices and controls, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience building software for security (e.g., Cloud security or security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling)

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience in static analysis or dynamic analysis.
