We are looking for a Staff UX Designer to join Jane Street’s Creative Engagement team, where you’ll shape how people interact with our firm through digital experiences. You will be joining at an inflection point: we are actively expanding our design talent to meet the growing demand across the organization. You will lead user research initiatives to help your team deeply understand our diverse user communities and their needs. You will employ both qualitative and quantitative methods, from creating user personas and journey maps to developing and analyzing surveys and other engagement data, in order to inform design recommendations. Demonstrating design craft is critical to the daily work of this role. In partnership with your team, you will rapidly sketch, storyboard, and prototype possible solutions for better digital experiences. You will drive an iterative design process centered on testing to refine and validate solutions. Through this cyclical process, you will help produce digital experiences that are intuitive and engaging and meet real user needs. You will offer your insights on UX decisions across your team, advocate for usability testing across other parts of the firm, standardize user research methodologies, and further define how our teams can best partner with a design collaborator.
