Responsibilities

  • Assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Deploy crew members and delegate tasks to create the OTG Starbucks experience.
  • Provide guests with prompt service, quality beverages, and maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable store environment.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of OTG.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicate information to the manager to create the OTG experience during each shift.
  • Assist with new crew training by positively reinforcing successful performance.
  • Deliver the OTG experience to all guests by acting with a guest comes first attitude.
  • Follow OTG cash handling and cash register policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently.
  • Communicate product outages, equipment issues, or quality of service problems to the manager.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Engage with and understand guests, discovering and responding to their needs.
  • Perform many different tasks within the store during each shift.
  • Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during the shift.
  • Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching.
  • Develop positive relationships with the crew team.
  • Execute store operations during each shift.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow up with crew during the shift to ensure the delivery of the OTG experience.
  • Utilize operations tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Respond to Cashiers' requests and other functions for customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Fully conversational in English.
  • Must obtain ServSafe certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions.
  • Must be able to operate kitchen equipment, including espresso machines and grinders.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to direct the work of others.
  • Effective oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to build relationships.
  • Legal documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the country in which you apply.
  • Ability to work full time, including variable hours.
