About The Position
The Dayton Regional STEM School seeks an individual to serve as the elementary Project Based Learning (PBL) Coach and Gifted Coordinator for the new K-5 campus. The PBL Coach will support K-5 teachers in implementing effective Project Based Learning strategies within their classrooms, guiding them through the process of designing engaging, student-centered projects, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring students are actively engaged in meaningful inquiry and problem-solving to achieve deep learning outcomes. The PBL coach will also help coordinate professional development opportunities for our teachers. The PBL Coach will lead the process of identifying and supporting students identified as gifted in K-5. Responsibilities will include overseeing and coordinating the educational programming for gifted students, identifying gifted learners, developing differentiated curriculum, collaborating with teachers to ensure appropriate enrichment, and evaluating the effectiveness of gifted education programs, all while maintaining communication with parents and administrators to advocate for the needs of gifted students.
