The State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) position at Brown Memorial Nursing Home is a part-time role focused on providing direct resident care during night shifts. The STNA will work under the supervision of the charge nurse and will be responsible for various caregiving tasks, ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Assist new employees in following established facility policies and procedures.
• Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to the charge nurse.
• Complete assignments accurately and timely, ensuring resident care is provided as assigned.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Participate in mandatory nurse aide in-services each year and make arrangements to make up any missed hours.
• Attend staff meetings, in-service classes, and committee meetings as assigned.
• Follow staffing guidelines for call-offs and accept adjustments to assignments when needed.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Document resident care provided and residents' responses accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Valid State Tested Nursing Assistant license.
• Completion of a state-approved certification training program or current state-tested nurse aide status.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in vital signs monitoring (1 year preferred).
• Caregiving experience (1 year preferred).
