Responsibilities

  • Learn and implement Walgreens' operations and ways of working to lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy.
  • Complete an accelerated development program to become a Store Manager, including all necessary certifications.
  • Engage with customers and patients, resolving complaints and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Monitor customer service trends and provide coaching to team members to improve service metrics.
  • Shadow the Store Manager to gain experience in supervising store operations and team members.
  • Support the Store Manager in protecting store assets and administering loss prevention programs.
  • Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management processes.
  • Learn to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to store operations.
  • Develop action plans to improve business results based on financial and performance data analysis.
  • Work with the Store Manager to understand key inventory metrics and grow the business through new initiatives.
  • Learn all aspects of people management, including training and coaching team members.
  • Participate in critical communication sessions and assist in planning community events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position if offered.
  • Willingness to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.

Nice-to-haves
