About the position
Bassett Furniture is seeking a passionate and driven Store Manager for our Oklahoma City showroom. This leadership role is pivotal in fostering the relationship between our Design Consultants and customers, which is fundamental to our success. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales and design professionals, ensuring that they are motivated and equipped to deliver exceptional service and design solutions to our customers. You will play a crucial role in driving sales and managing the daily operations of the store while achieving monthly sales and gross profit goals. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishings sector, along with at least two years of design experience or a degree in interior design. You will be skilled in leading, motivating, and managing a sales/design team, with a strong ability to train and develop your team in sales, product knowledge, and design. Establishing and maintaining customer relationships is key, as is the ability to interpret profit/loss statements and KPI metrics to inform business decisions. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales/design team to achieve sales and gross profit goals.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Train, coach, and develop team members in sales techniques, product knowledge, and design skills.
- Interpret and analyze profit/loss statements and KPI metrics to drive business performance.
- Oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring a high standard of service and operational efficiency.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably in home furnishings.
- Preferably 2 years of design experience or an interior design degree.
- Skilled at leading, motivating, and managing a sales/design team.
- Ability to train, develop, and coach in sales, product, and design.
- Ability to establish, develop, and maintain customer relationships.
- Ability to interpret profit/loss statements, KPI metrics, and general sales reports.
