Omni Air International is seeking a dedicated Stores Clerk to join our warehouse team in Seattle, WA. The Stores Clerk will play a crucial role in managing the shipping and receiving of materials and parts, maintaining inventory records, and dispensing these materials to various departments within the company. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient performance of warehousing operations, including the storage, security, and accountability of aircraft materials. The Stores Clerk will be responsible for the movement of repairable materials to and from repair vendors and company warehouses, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of inbound purchases and repairs. This role requires compliance with safety procedures and departmental standards, as well as the ability to resolve and report any shipping or receiving issues to supervision. The successful candidate will also be responsible for acquiring aircraft on ground (AOG) parts during off-business hours and maintaining accurate computerized inventory while handling vendor discrepancies. Regulatory compliance with shipping, receiving, and storing hazardous materials is also a critical aspect of this position, along with maintaining an insurable driving record under Omni insurance coverage. In addition to these responsibilities, the Stores Clerk must demonstrate knowledge of all GMM and Stores procedures, as well as FAA requirements. The role may also involve additional functions as assigned, making adaptability and a proactive approach essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for efficient performance of warehousing operations including storage, security, and accountability of aircraft materials
  • Responsible for movement of repairable materials to and from repair vendors, and company warehouses
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of inbound purchases and repairs
  • Responsible for resolution and reporting of any shipping or receiving problems to supervision
  • Comply with procedures related to safety and departmental standards
  • Responsible for acquiring aircraft on ground (AOG) parts during off-business hours
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate computerized inventory and handling vendor discrepancy resolutions
  • Ensure Company inventory and materials are properly accounted for, and binned per industry standards
  • Prepare materials needed for daily maintenance readiness and redistribution
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with shipping, receiving, storing of hazardous materials, including employee awareness and training requirements
  • Maintain an insurable driving record under Omni insurance coverage
  • Report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Demonstrate knowledge and clear understanding of all GMM and Stores procedures, as well as FAA requirements
  • Ensure that vehicles and warehouse equipment are properly maintained and securely stored
  • Perform additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency (Windows, Excel, Word, Internet)
  • Hazmat experience desired - Company will train
  • Forklift certification desired - Company will train, but prefer prior experience
  • Able to obtain (within first 90 days of employment) and maintain SIDA access (TIAP authority provided)
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English language
  • Exercise good oral and written communication skills
  • Possess good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work occasional odd hours
  • Some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Possess valid driver's license with clear MVR
  • No major moving violations within past 3 years
  • Lift 50 lbs and over
  • Ability to pull and operate trailer and various equipment
  • Must hold a valid passport
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year previous experience in aircraft inventory control, purchasing, or warehouse logistics preferred
